PIREP Christian: Straw 12 Unalakleet - Koyuk - Unalakleet

Photo: Bell by Koyuk Checkpoint.

Hi Sandy.

Feeling like in Alaska here in Germany as well. It was snowing really hard here too and it was about two inches in 4 hours, which is quite much for our region, but by the end of the day it was almost melted away and I wonder whether I will see any of the snow tomorrow, when I get up.

Got up early today to serve the Checkpoint of Koyuk with 15 bales of straw. I left UNK at 10:17 with the sun still in the rising process and arrived at Koyuk after a 33 minutes flight in really good weather, windy, but clear blue skies with still a few stars blinking through. At Koyuk I let the Bell running at the slowest idle setting and it only took about 7 minutes to offload the bales. Then I headed back to
UNK an again it was a 33 minutes flight. This was a short day for me today. I am so damned tired I will head for a good sleep again, before I will join the Fish Fry Party tonight. I hope somebody will wake me up, if I am still sleeping, otherwise some bad thing will happen...

...I will miss the party! LOL

Good night all,

Christian
