PIREP McGrath - Shageluk - McGrath

Photo: Airport of Shageluk, along the Yukon river.

Hi Sandy.

After my arrival back at McGrath I saw the radio techie standing by
with his gear and so it was not necessary to switch off the engines of
this Bell 412. A couple of minutes later we were heading to Shageluk.
I climbed to about 4000 feet and followed the radial out of MCG to the
airport. I ended up a little bit south of the field and turned inbound
and landed close to the ramp, switched off engines, secured the
helicopter for the night stay, went to the diner and had a really
delicious moose steak in a warm atmosphere there.

Flying time: 50 minutes

Christian
