PIREP Terry: Straw 15 Unalakleet - New Shaktoolik - Unalakleet

OK Sandy, this is the one you and I have been looking for, my last Pirep of the day!!

Straw 15: PAUN to |38A (New Shaktoolik).

7 Bales in na beech 17 - a bit of a squeeze, but I managed to get into the cockpit after a good push from behind from a very pretty passer-by.

Noted the instruction to Tx back to Anchorage, so filled the tanks and set off in the dark. I was quite happy - all I had to do was keep sight of the coastline under my right wingtip and I knew that the Shaktooliks would show up eventually, and sure enough, they did. Barely stopped rolling when the bales were out of the door and we were up, up and away again.
Long boring trip back to PANC (and at very high altitude - lotsa rocks down below)!
To my pride (and my Co-Pilot's disbelief) I made a very delicate landing at PANC, closed the office down and tied it down, then went to eat and sleep.
Looking forward to the 15th (if my post -birthday hangover has cleared by then).

Terry
