And we are basically aligned to the runway so it's a quick hop in and out of there. We did stayed some time as I let Connie take pictures and talk to some of vols there about how far away it feels from all civilization, almost on the edge of the world...and she hasn't been to Nome!
Ok, enough chit chat..we get back into the Van and fire up the turbine, and back we go to Unalakleet. We need to pack our bags and head for Anchorage for some well deserved rest. Connie plans to write some of her premiliary reports during the flight. So I radio ahead for WX reports on our planned route and it looks good until near Anchorage. Oh well.. Soon we are approaching Unk one last time for now and we settle into our straight-in approach. Wind has picked up a little so I land doing a wheelie once again.. Alaska style.
