PIREP Christian: Straw 9 & 10 Kaltag - Anvik - Kaltag - Grayling

Hi Sandy.

Just a short report on the Straw-9 flight. Somehow days are for me as
well becoming short - days definitely need more hours.

It was a nice flight in again beautiful weather, though it was windy, I had to correct the heading to stay along the track of the GPS route. I saw too late that I have to fly to Grayling as well, but I was already nearly half way to Anvik, otherwise I would have taken the second load as sling load and dropped it off at Grayling. So I was only carrying one load for Anvik. Flying time was 53 minutes. Headed back in 55 minutes to Kaltag, RON and today flew to Grayling to deliver the load. 48 minutes of flight.
I'm currently at Grayling and will head back probably this evening, but not sure about this, and fly back along the river to check Eagle Island (Scenery).

Christian
