I got up early after a rather cold night, but with my very good survival equipment I could withstand it very good.
When I got up I had a look at the helicopter and it was covered under some snow, which I had to remove first. After removing all the covers also, checking the engines, rotor blades. etc. I was ready to start the engines. After a short phase for warming them up and get a positive oil temperature I left Rohn at 09:55 local time. I followed the valley out of the Alaska Mountains Range and intercepted the 274 Radial of MCG VOR and headed directly to MCG. I flew at an altitude of 3500 feet at a speed of about 120 KIAS. It was really nice weather and it took me 40 minutes to get to MCG and did a nice landing on the ramp.
