Hi Sandy,
After finishing up Straw-6 I wanted to catch up so I jumped into the
Super Cub (actually, I had to wriggle myself in around the straw).
And headed for Ophir. The weather was clear around McGrath, pretty
grungy on the way out but I got to the aiport OK and landed. Got rid
of that straw (except for all the bits that got down my shirt), and
headed back to McGrath. On the way back the weather went way bad,
zero visibility as I tracked the VOR back to the airport. The
McGrath weather report said 19 miles visibiity in clear skies, but
that was only true if you stood on the runway and looked straight
up. Anything away from the airport was really socked in. Anyway,
made it back, I'm heading back into the bunkhouse and will head for
Kaltag tomorrow.

One thing nice about the Super Cub is that it is slow enough that you
can get pretty close to the airport and still be able to maneuver for
a landing. This helped at both airports.
