Hello Sandy,
I completed Straw-6 this evening. The weather wasn't too bad, but
visibility wasn't all that great. Departed McGrath at 1247 local,
headed for Takatna. That airport sits on a hill and I had some
problems judging the approach, obviously, as I made two go-arounds
before landing. I had to land toward the East because of the winds
and I think that makes it harder, because of the high country to the
west of the airport. Anyway, I made it in, offloaded the straw, and
headed back to McGrath for the Straw-7 flight (separate report).
