Hi Sandy.
I have departed Grayling with two bottles of high percent liquid stuff for the old lady. I didn't recall where Eagle Island was located exactly, so I followed the Yukon up northbound. Then I flew over a rather big Island and continued to follow the river, as I in the meanwhile got my Google Earth ready and was doing a search through the Yukon, zooming in to every Island to see, whether it is named or not,
as I came along this big Island with a smaller just above it and I could read: Eagle Island. Damned I passed it two minutes ago. So I turned around and headed for that Island. Then I could see from the distance some trees and later on the grass runway, followed by the house and, oh my goodness, the campfire. LOL It is still burning, so I was closing in with care and sat the Bell down on the runway just in front of the house and she was standing at the window looking to the outside, so I waved her by and she came out and I said: Well Ma'am I have something very special for you and raised these two bottles and she had a big smile on her face and invited me for a moose steak, and I told her she should get it ready by 13:00, because I will head back to Kaltag and load the straw and get back to Eagle Island. She said: Your steak will be ready by 13:00 sharp! Don't be too late, young boy!
Ehem, sorry folks I have to go - there is a steak waiting for me...
Didn't want to be too late, so I left early at 12:20, but flew a slower speed than normal. Arrived at 12:40 20 minutes ahead of time, so I unloaded the 15 bales of straw and as I was finished it was time for the steaks.
So gentlemen, if you don't mind, please excuse me, but I'm hungry ;-)
Christian
