I picked the B1900D from the TCAA Hangar and did and the checks inside, when I walked around the plane I noticed the #2 engine had a big pool of hydraulic fluid under it and a piece of broken hose. So flight was cancelled for the day until they got that fixed.
Turns out that the whole darn engine had to be replaced. Ok so NEXT day I take her out again and this time everything is ok. We get our clearance and we taxi for nearly 20 minutes! DARN. After taxxin thru half of Alaska We take off and head east to Whitehorse. It was an easy flight. Soon We were under Canadian ATC control, and got vectored for 13R at whitehorse. I was a little to fast on landing so i landed firmly with all 3 at the same time.
While they loaded the meat patties I had....Hamburgers for lunch..LOL..how ironic. No they weren't from the cargo, it was at nearby diner.
Once plane was loaded, we got a quick clearance and taxied to 13R again for takeoff. Soon we were back in the air, but now we had a thick cloud cover below us, it was kinda cool to see only some of the tops of the highest peaks. I got some pics that should show up here.
Upon nearing Anchorage radio traffic was increasing. I requested visual approach to 14 and fortunately the plane before me vacated the runway in time for me to get cleared for landing. A nice main-first landing and a quick taxing to the Supply Hangar (yeah they almost pushed me off the runway since a 737 was on final behind me!). Now i'm heading over to dispatch to see what's in store for tomorrow.
